It was a 2 hour and a half stretch from Mumbai to Daman, and since we brought our own vehicle the trip took us a little longer than expected. Of course, you have those little tea breaks in between especially if you have good company. The plan was to find a resort hotel by the beach front which we already researched before the trip, have an afternoon nap, have a nice drink while listening to the sound of waves as it hits the shore, have authentic Gujarati cuisine and do that for two days. There are 2 main beaches, Devka and Jampore. The first one has the dark sand and offers a line of hotels to choose from however none of them have any beach access due to some construction going on. The latter have a better looking beach but doesn't offer any accommodation around it and so it leaves us without any option but look for a place near Devka Beach.
